Tracking Cattle Movement using the Pasture Manager, Group Manager or My Herd

Pasture Manager

  1. You can get to the Pasture Manager by clicking on the icon in your Quick Links Menu or by selecting Pasture Manager from the Mega Menu

  1. Select the Pasture you wish to work with by clicking on its name. Make sure if you wish to create breeding records from movement to set up your pastures as breeding pastures. More about that hereWhen you are viewing the pasture Select All by clicking the top checkbox or select individual animals by clicking on the checkbox next each animal.



  1. Once selected, select "Bulk Action" and "Move Pastures". Select the pasture you are moving them to, enter the move date and click "Move."

  1. If you are rotating bulls in or out, you can click on the Rotate Bulls icon on the top right of the table, and then select the action you wish to move forward with. Select the bull(s) you wish to rotate in or out, choose the relevant pastures, and the move date and click "Rotate Bulls"





Group Manager

  1. You can get to the Group Manager by clicking on the icon in your Quick Links Menu or by selecting Group Manager from the Mega Menu

  1. Select the Group you wish to work with by clicking on its name. Make sure if you wish to create breeding records from movement to set up your pastures as breeding pastures. More about that here
  2. When you are viewing the group, select the animals you wish to move by clicking the Select All checkbox or select individual animals by clicking on the checkbox next to each animal.Once selected, select "Bulk Action" and "Move Pastures". Select the pasture you are moving them to, enter the move date and click "Move."


My Herd

  1. You can get to the My Herd section by clicking on the icon in your Quick Links Menu or by selecting My Herd from the Mega Menu.

  1. Select the animals you wish to move by clicking the Select All checkbox or select individual animals by clicking on the checkbox next to each animal. Once selected, select "Bulk Action" and "Move Pastures". Select the pasture you are moving them to, enter the move date and click "Move."

  1. If you wish to create breeding records from movement to set up your pastures as breeding pastures. More about that here
  2. You can narrow down the number of animals you see in the table by filtering or using the search box to the top right of the table. More about that here.
