Setting Up Your Portal To Create Natural Service Breeding Groups

Follow the instructions below to set up your portal to create breeding groups for you. 

New Pasture Setup

** if you imported your data with pastures skip to the bulk edit details below

Create pastures by going to the + Menu and clicking Pastures in the left-hand column. In the Add Pasture form, make sure to check the box to make it a breeding pasture. 



If you imported pastures, you can update their status by selecting the pastures and a clicking, Bulk Actions and Breeding Pasture Status. Then click update.



Lastly, you can edit each pasture individually by click on the action menu to the right of each column. And clicking Edit. Select the checkbox in the form for breeding pastures and save your changes. 



Next goto the Settings Menu, and click on General. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Customize to the right of the Definitions section. Define the breeding age of your cattle. You can also choose when you want heifers to reenter this group after calving. 

Note: Only breeding aged animals in the defined window will be apart of breeding groups.



Bulk Edit Pasture Breeding Status


From the Pasture Manager, select the pastures you wish to change to breeding pastures. 


Select the Bulk Actions Menu, select Breeding Pasture Status and select Breeding Pastures from the drop down and click "Update".



You will need to do this for both tables in the Pasture Manager. The top table shows the pastures with animals in them (Active Pastures), and the bottom table shows pastures that are empty (Inactive Pastures).
