*If you want to AI one cow or heifer read this article

First, make sure you have the semen in your inventory. You can add semen to your inventory by click on the + Menu and clicking on the "Semen" link in the left column.

Using the Cattle WorkCarts

Read this article to see the full WorkCart process. When you are in the WorkCart, select Add Artificial Insemination. If you are inseminating all of the cattle with the same semen, you can select the semen from the inventory here so you don't have to do it one by one.

Next, click "Work Cattle". From the WorkCart you can confirm the details you wish to commit to the cattle record.

Once you are sure the information in the WorkCart is correct, click "Mark as Completed." If you wish to save this and come back before committing to the animal records, you can click "Save All" and come back at a later time.

Using the Bulk Add Menu

To use the Bulk Add Menu you will need to be in the My Herd section, Pastures or Groups.

If you are in the My Herd section, we recommend filtering your data to narrow down your options. There are a number of filter options. Some that might be useful here would be to filter by breeding age, sex, location or group.

Select the animals you wish to apply AI to. Then select "Bulk Add".

Select the semen you wish to apply and click apply.
